Ochapowace Status Update for Water Claim

This newsletter provides an update to the Ochapowace First Nation (“Ochapowace”) membership regarding Ochapowace’s efforts to be added to the list of Impacted First Nations.
Adding to the Impacted First Nations list would allow Ochapowace to obtain compensation under the First Nations Drinking Water Advisory Class Action (the “Water Class Action”) settlement agreement. The Water Class Action also allows individuals to apply for compensation if they are a member of an Impacted First Nation. We have retained McKercher LLP Barristers & Solicitors (“McKercher”) as our legal counsel to assist us in our efforts.
