Medical Transportation Program

The service is provided to members of Ochapowace First Nation whom reside in the towns of Broadview, Whitewood, Treaty Land Entitlement Farms and other First Nation people living in our community.

This Service provides the following:

  • Private mileage, bus ticket vouchers whichever is the most economical and efficient
  • Meals & Accommodations Vouchers (within a certain criteria)
  • Traditional healer trips on an individual bases (must meet a certain criteria)
  • MT Cheques are made payable to parent/guardian for anyone under the age of eighteen
  • Benefits are only available to treaty status individuals residing in community

The Coordination Services ensures effective delivery by:

  • maintaining proper and accurate recordkeeping
  • verification of client’s specialist appointments
  • monthly, annually reports
  • quarterly activity reports are completed and forwarded to FNIHB.
  • daily/weekly MT cheque list forwarded to accounting at the Administration Office
  • assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling and canceling medical appointments

New to the Program:

  • Ophthalmologist changed from Regina to closest destination Yorkton
  • Pediatrics changed from Regina to closets destination Yorkton
  • Obstetricians/Gynecologist changed from Regina to closets destination Yorkton

 


 

CHN Clerical Support

Priority- Public Health Records

Complete all requests in a timely fashion by tracking and requesting,

  • Make New Health Records
    • Newborns, 18-year-old youth
    • Young mother with newborns
  • Handle al Health in a confidential manner
  • Liaison between clients, doctors, dentists, FNIHB, Sask Health
  • Type, Photocopy, File:
    • Letters, Reports, Midyear& Annual Reviews, Calendars, Posters
    • Inventory control
